Fight the Stigma Film Screening & Community Dialogue

Coppin State University's Department of Psychology, Counseling, and Behavioral Health is thrilled to unveil a groundbreaking partnership with celebrated filmmaker and CSU alumnus Devin Walker for a transformative initiative. As part of this dynamic collaboration, we will host an exclusive screening of Walker's latest film, Fight the Stigma, a powerful documentary illuminating Baltimore's courageous battle against drug addiction. The film is especially empowering considering the recent overdose incident in West Baltimore earlier this July, which has profoundly inspired our community and highlighted the vital opportunity for awareness, education, and action.
This pivotal moment is more than a screening – it’s a beacon of hope. Join us for a post-film discussion with the filmmaker and local mental health advocates, as we ignite a movement at the intersection of addiction, stigma, and community empowerment.
